I had been praying for something recently. It was a noble prayer, a biblical prayer. However one day when I was praying I felt the Lord challenging me to upgrade my prayer, to upgrade my thinking.

Ultimately I had been praying too small.

I had been praying for God to change a circumstance and meet a real need. Instead the Lord was asking me to pray for a changed mindset that would meet real needs for generations to come.

If we are a follower of Jesus we are called to think differently. We have the most creative God in the world and He gives us access to His thoughts. We would be crazy to not lean in!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Its time to upgrade our thinking.
