Who is to blame?

I find it interesting how we often get frustrated at God when things don’t go the way we would like in our lives. We seem perfectly happy to blame God for anything that goes wrong regardless of how we have lived our lives in regard to His voice. This is illustrated in Jeremiah 25;

But you did not listen to me,” declares the LORD, “and you have aroused my anger with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves.” Jeremiah 25:7

The Lord makes it pretty clear in this moment about who is to blame for the harm they are experiencing. Its on them for refusing to listen to His voice and creating things with their own hands that displeased Him.

I wonder how many things in our own lives could have been prevented if we’d simply listened to God’s voice and followed His instructions?
